Turf Club at Kranji
The world's most advanced race-course facility gets the world's best aircon system
Even
before its official opening, this new race-course and entertainment complex
has won a design competition. Elsewhere on this immense facility, plans
for a different kind of competition include a grandstand for 30,000 patrons,
stables for 1,000 horses, a golf course, country club, a music centre,
equestrian centre, horticultural gardens and commercial development.
The grandstand is the architectural centrepiece of the site. Its dynamic shapes were inspired by the graceful and powerful forms of a horse in motion. The use of time-honored construction materials will serve to unify - architecturally and visually - the many buildings of diverse sizes and functions assembled on the site. Three themes - horses, gardens and water - will link all varied elements.
With its elegant and innovative structural system, "smart building" technology and exciting patron amenities, the Racecourse at Kranji will be the most advanced racing facility in the world.
No wonder the Turf Club just had to choose the most advanced aircon facility in the world.
